Is it spring yet?

I've enjoyed the warm weather that day gave us. I was able to have the door open at work in the morning during deliveries and then in the afternoon I was even able to sit outside on my red bench. Small stitches today. I finished off the Blue Iris & completed the back stitching on both it and the Purple Iris.

Framed & Given

Hooray!!!! Finished, framed and found!!! I got Cheryl's tribute piece framed and gave it to her earlier in the week.

Today while doing the thorough living room cleaning, I found Tracy's Grand Prix piece and put it in its frame & ran it across the way to her before I misplaced it a second time. Hubby had put it in a bin and shoved it under a corner table.

This is a great excitement because it means I can work on finished up a few other near done pieces.

Linked Through Love's auction went well. A friend of mine bought my Hearthwarming piece. So I feels like it's staying in the family. 😊

Horse Pals

Cheryl's tribute piece is complete. It just needs a washing and a frame. I told her about it today and she got emotional. Awwww.
Piece turned out a little differently then I thought, but it still looks good.

This was from a kit by Creative Connections, Inc. designer Barbara Gibson. However I had long ago misplaced the floss it came with and had to use a colour code from cyberstitchers to gauge colour key.

Frustrations Abound

A few weeks ago I was able to find a frame that would suit my Monaco Grand Prix piece. However, the piece has now gone into hiding. I *know where* it was....just not where it is now. We've searched the house, especially the upstairs which is where it was. Hubby even pulled out all the carpet!

Okay, a the carpet removal was for my heighten allergic reactions of late, but still, in order to pull all said carpet out I had to clean up & pack up a whole lots of corner hiding (closet) items. So I've gone through everything at length while sorting & purging items no longer needed. It wasn't among any of that.

So now the dilemma is "do I restitch and risk finding the 1st one upon completion?" Or do I wait and see if one day in the not predicable future it remerges?

I picked up a treasure chest shaped box from Michaels to put all my finished works into since they too are scattered into various places. All the come across ufos have been put into the drawers, which has now begun to fill a 2nd drawer( these are shallow draers, but the # of ufos is staggering).

Discovered my Jane Austin silouette. 34 rows of 25 stitches to block out in black. Followed by back stitching a faux frame and it will be done.

Fun on the Mail:

2 craft books. One is just stitching; the other has sewing, hodge podge & crochet. 1 common theme.

Added a few toys to the THFLG's piece. Still haven't heard any news on when baby girl Damon #2 arrived or her name.
Put a few more interest tabs into my magazines. I pulled 2 shelves of magazines down to sort through them incase I may have put my Monaco between the pages. I didn't. It wasn't there. *le sigh*

Baby Sampler Works

For a customer couple I'm making Sue Hillis Designs "Thank Heavens for little girls". The letters/pants and tricycle are all  purple instead of the blue it showed on the stitched model.

As they are having daughter #2 I altered the hanging tutu to add arms & a head making it a 2nd girl. I started this today & hope to have it done by weeks end. Baby should be here already (was due on the 5th).

I've gotten the leaf hammock done on my cousins baby gift as well. This one is longer going as the material is softer and I have to watch my tension to not pull too hard making uneven holes.

Outlander ( April Smalls)

I caught the 1st season of Outlander onto last year and was hooked. I’d made a generalized post about it and had a bunch of friends and fami...
